SUMMARY:Embellish Auditions 2026
DESCRIPTION:Information for Embellish Auditions 2026: \n\n\n\n\nEmbellish is a high-level handbell ensemble who rings level 3/4/5 pieces with precision and musicality. Embellish rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 7pm-9:30pm. It is expected that ringers will spend time outside of practice reviewing their music as well. \n\n\n\n\n\nAuditions will take place (by appointment only) on Tuesday\, January 13th. Please fill out the below form if you are interested in auditioning\, and our music director Brenda Austin will be in touch!\n\n\n\n\n\nEmbellish’s season runs from January through December\, with a “summer break” June-August. A rough draft of the season calendar may be found here.\n\n\n\nEmbellish members are asked to pay $150 in dues each season.*\n\n\n\n\n\nApply for Embellish Auditions\n\n\n\n\n*The Embellish Family does not want financial situations to be a barrier to participation. SUMMARY:Ringing Out Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Embellish Handbell Family is excited to announce we will be hosting Ringing Out on Saturday\, March 20\, 2027! \n\n\n\nRinging Out is a community handbell Mass Ring\, and this year it will be under the direction of Embellish’s Music Director\, Brenda E. Austin. \n\n\n\nBrenda is a handbell composer\, arranger\, and conductor\, and also a music editor for Hope Publishing. She is in high demand as a clinician\, both nationally and internationally\, and has over 115 publications of her own. She brings a vibrant energy to the podium\, and a passion for “Changing the world with handbells!” – her signature phrase.  \n\n\n\nThe day will be full of fun\, great music\, and the opportunity to connect with others in the handbell community. We will close the event with a concert\, featuring several pieces rung by the mass choir\, as well as an individually-prepared piece from each group (if desired)\, and a short performance by Embellish. \n\n\n\nSince space is limited\, registration is on a first come\, first served basis. Please find the event details below: \n\n\n\n\nDate: Saturday\, March 20\, 2027\n\n\n\nTime: 8:00am – 2:30pm\, with a Mass Ring concert at 3:00pm\n\n\n\nLocation: Calvin Church\, 700 Ethel Avenue SE\, Grand Rapids\, MI 49506\n\n\n\nCost: $150 for a group of up to 12 people; OR individual ringers may register for $20 each. Please note that we welcome groups of all sizes\, so we encourage you to attend with your ringers who are available.\n\n\n\nOptional purchases: Boxed lunches will be available for $16 each\, and Ringing Out t-shirts for $15 each. You will be given more details about the lunch choices\, and t-shirt sizes on the registration form\, and will need total numbers from your group when you complete it.\n\n\n\nMusical repertoire: Each group or individual attendee will be responsible for purchasing and learning their own music.
