    Grosse Pointe Memorial Church's “Music of Peace and Hope” concert series season opens in October with Embellish, one of Michigan’s finest handbell ensembles.

    Embellish is the premier handbell ensemble of the West Michigan area. Under the direction of Stephanie Wiltse, the 16 member group plays a wide variety of selections including original compositions, arrangements of classical works, and even a little Dixie and pop music! You won’t want to miss their entertaining concert of music for bells.

    Tickets for each of the concerts are available in advance at the Grosse Pointe Memorial Church reception desk and online at eventgroove.com.

    Admission to each concert is $10 in advance; $15 at the door.

    Tintinnabulations of Terror: A Halloween Handbell Concert

    Halloween is in the air, and spooks, ghouls, and goblins start to come out at night. Embellish Handbells welcomes them by creating ghostly, haunting, and upbeat Halloween music at their upcoming Halloween concert on October 30th.

    Embellish Handbells, the premier handbell ensemble of West Michigan, invites you to celebrate Halloween with their upcoming concert “Tintinnabulations of Terror: A Halloween Handbell Concert” on Tuesday, October 30th at the Kroc Center in Grand Rapids. 

    The handbell concert will feature well-known Halloween songs, with both classic and popular tunes. The audience will recognize seasonal songs including “Thriller” and “The Addams Family,” with a fun mix of additional music thrown in to celebrate Halloween. The concert will be presented by two handbell ensembles: both Embellish and their companion ensemble Campana will present themed selections.

    This concert is open to all ages. Attendees are encouraged to attend in costume, and trick-or-treating will follow the concert. 

    Ticket prices are $14 each at the door. Children and students (with high school or college ID) get in free.
